Staying Warm at home

Dress in layers- multiple of layers help to trap the warm air and keep you warm

Eat and drink warm food and drinks- this helps to keep the body warm

Keep active- get up and move around or have a stretch, rather than sitting still

Heat your home- keep your main living area between 18-21 degrees Celsius

Close curtains and blinds to keep the warm air inside

Use a hot water bottle or heat bag to help you to stay warm but remember to check hot water bottles prior to filling it with hot water. Heated blankets can also be a cost effective way to stay warm
